A panel of experts convenes to discuss ‘Let Food Be Your Medicine’ and talk about the rise of comprehensive food medicine and nutritional healing to treat chronic disease and maintain general well-being and human health.

With the rise and convenience of fast foods, oven-ready meals packed with preservative and additives, highly processed snack foods, GMO and non-organic produce all with an ingredient list that no one really knows what they are really eating and putting inside their bodies, and only known by those who produced them. It comes as no surprise that human health is being severely impacted with all manner of serious health issues on the rise.

It is time we change our relationship with what we eat, the medications drugs we take without questioning or asking doctors as to why we have to take them, which alone contribute to the decline in peoples health. It raises the question; is it not time that you take charge of your own health and let food be your medicine?

The doctor of the future will give no medicine but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease.

Food is the most powerful medicine available to heal chronic disease

Dr. Mark Hyman M.D.

The reasons why we should pay greater attention to what we eat are many. But although the highly processed, high in sugars and salts, low quality and variety of foods which many of us consume regularly may be quick, very convenient and sometimes tasty, they do nothing to nourish our bodies which, in turn, not only compromise our health and overall wellbeing, but can also be a contributing factor to the cause of ailments, health issues, low energy, lack of drive, focus, and creative ability which can also hinder our own personal life aspirations, dreams and goals.

Overall, looking at your food as not only sustenance and fuel for your body but also as very powerful medicine, helps you to make better food choices about what to eat and how to eat it, so that you make the best decisions as possible that will impact your health and wellbeing for optimal performance.
